In December we will celebrate the winter solstice with a solstice party. Bring a dish and a musical instrument. We may be skeptics, but we still like holiday music! The home of the Hands is at 132 Lynn Circle, Syracuse 13205, south of Seneca Turnpike (Rt. 173) & east of South Salina St. (Rt. 11), not far from Betts Branch Library.

View Google map and get directions.

Additional directions and information from the Hands: Lynn Circle is off Sunrise Drive. If you don’t count the corner house, we’re the fourth house on the right-hand side of Lynn. Look for a dark-colored house with lots of Christmas decorations.

We’ll provide roast turkey, a vegetarian dish, and beverages. The rest is up to you. E-mail your menu contribution to Bryce and Judy or call 492-0828, so we can post the menu as it develops. We’ll need munchies, veggies or salad, something starchy, and goodies for dessert. (If it’s not convenient to bring something, don’t worry about it!)

Significant others and family members of course are welcome. But also feel free to invite anyone else you think might enjoy our group! And if you know members who don’t have e-mail, we’d appreciate your getting the details to them.

Bring your sing-along/play-along voices and instruments. Bill Busher plays a mean guitar, and there are resident guitars and a banjo at the Hands’.

November meeting

We had a great turnout at our November meeting. A number of people were at their first CNY Skeptics meeting, and one of them joined the group. Welcome, Laurel!

Jason gave an entertaining and somewhat terrifying presentation on the Creation Museum. Yes, there are many people who truly believe that human and dinosaur walked the earth together.
